This mix is fucking mental, exactly what I want on electronic explorations …… summer is here .. bring on the pummelling beats and high speed breaks
————————————————-
Bong-Ra – Monster – adn131
Even though Bong-Ra’s name and sound keep on popping at parties and festivals, it had been a couple of years since fresh material hadn’t come out of the “digital harem” studio”. Having focused on his other projects (mainly The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble), Jason Köhnen has only in 2010 had the time to return to his best known and longest-running project.
A lot has changed and a lot has been kept the same under Bong-Ra’s black hood: while we clearly deal with Bong-Ra’s towering presence of clustered beats and sharp breaks, more balance is to be found at the heart of this “Monster” than ever before.
This EP’s alchemy lies in the way Bong-Ra marries what he is known for (hard club-friendly rhythms) and what he has grown to produce more and more over the years (rich instrumentations and arrangements). In this sense, “Monster” meets its concept: it is not only a record about relationships, but one which brings together two elements usually usually very distinct. This gets particularly clear when “Yeti” and his pounding kicks confirm Bong-Ra’s position on his throne of the hard electronic music scene, only to be answered with “Kraken”’s human emotions and acoustic strings.
An agile but deadly hydra, “Monster” is an important release for Bong-Ra. A chapter is being closed, but the best elements of the past are molten together in new and exciting ways. In this sense, this musician confirms again that while his music might be lean and mean, it’s also intensely detailed and precise. This might be only a start (as an album is soon to follow), but this “Monster” is already soaring very high.

“Since its formation in 2004 Bristol based Multiverse has been one of the key creative studios for developing the city’s flourishing culture of forward thinking electronic music.
Based around their recording studio in the heart of the city the collective has consistently nurtured and supported electronic artists, both nationally and internationally, in the process creating a series of seminal releases that have helped shape today’s current musical landscape. Through their network of labels which includes Tectonic, Kapsize, Earwax, Caravan and Build, the work of the studio has focussed on exploring the uncharted spaces between genres, bridging together today’s cutting edge sonic possibilities with electronic music’s rich and diverse musical history.
This intention has been accomplished with a strictly artist led approach and a commitment to supporting the work of new and innovative musicians and composers. The fruits of this creative labour are reflected here in this celebratory compilation.
This double CD release offers a selection of highlights from the studios recent history. Leading the charge are both Lion and Pop Pop by Vexd, records that formed the first bridge between classic British industrial music and dubstep, a fusion now championed by the likes of Surgeon, Distance and Milanese.
This appears alongside Joker and Ginzs Purple City the track that spearheaded the emergence of the Purple Wow phenomenon. Also present is Pinchs Qawwali one of the key tracks that broke dubstep to a global audience via Mary Anne Hobbs Dubstep Warz compilation. Pinchs influence within Multiverse extends across the compilation through his collaboration with P Dutty on War Dub, featured in the movie Children of Men, and Get Up with Massive Attack vocalist Yolanda Quartey and Bristol legend Rob Smith (RSD). Equally the more avant-garde work of the studio is represented through Moving Ninja, an artist who pioneered the blurring of boundaries between dubstep and sound design, and emptyset, whose eponymous debut album fused the streamlined European minimalism of Mika Vainio and Raster Noton with Bristols unique bass heavy production style.
This ground breaking selection of tracks sit alongside contributions by techno/dubstep pioneer 2562, half-step progenitor Loefah, Skream and Caravan label boss October. In the process Dark Matter creates a landmark archive of the work of one of the worlds most innovative creative networks of electronic producers.
At the centre of this community is Bristols thriving music scene in which Multiverse forms a key social hub, and the studio has operated with a family ethos that has placed creativity and artistic co-operation at the heart of their activity. Their collective approach places dialogue and collaboration as a vital and indispensable element within the musical process, an ethos that is entrenched within the city’s creative history, and their focus as ever remains in working with a diverse range of artists to craft a unique an inimitable sound that speaks to a global audience. As a result Dark Matter emerges both as a celebration of all that has been achieved and forms a decisive manifesto for an unwritten future.
An elemental space where electronic music collides with new digital processes and avant-garde composition, a place where sound becomes the raw sculptural mass of the sonic languages of tomorrow.”

Alex Cowles, AKA DFRNT is a producer, DJ and designer from Edinburgh, Scotland.
He currently heads up the Echodub label and collective, (www.echodub.co.uk) writes the Sitting Ovation blog (www.sittingovation.com) and is working on a new publication called Modus (www.modusmag.co.uk)
DFRNT released his debut album “Metafiction” on On The Edge records last year to a host of great reviews, and alongside his own production the album featured remix work from Scuba, Quantec, Ital Tek, DJ Madd and Synkro. A set of 4 vinyl releases were released to co-incide with the launch and featured those mixes, plus an additional remix from Indigo.
Since his album, DFRNT has been working on lots of new material. He was featured as a guest DJ on the Mary Anne Hobbs show in late 2009, and since has seen a further 12″ release on On The Edge. He has a few forthcoming releases on labels such as Futurism, Migration and his own Echodub imprint.
DFRNT is just back from a 3-month trip to the USA, where he played all over the North East. He’s currently working on putting together a follow-up album to Metafiction, as well as a number of remixes and collabs with various people.

Deeper dubstep album from Scotland’s DFRNT. After a succession of mp3 only releases on his own Echodub imprint he’s compiled an album of sparse ambient-textured dubstep influenced by the likes of 2562, Scuba, Breakage or Indigo. The first disc comprises entirely new material while a second disc rounds up remixes from Dub House dude Quantec, Synkro, Ital Tek and Scuba. Very nice indeed.

Ad Noiseam:
Ad Noiseam has been swimming against the flow since its inception in 2001. Mixing genres and formats, this label has made every possible atempt to blur its paths and not become a niche label. Noise, electronica, jazz, breakcore, dubstep, metal: over close to 130 releases (all of them on physical formats), Ad Noiseam has touched almost every possible genre of underground music, and intends at keeping it this way. Modern and indie in its relation to artists, shops and promotion, it’s in a way an old-school record label, which puts the quality of the music first, and not its genre or hype.
About the mix:
Respectful of the high quality of the podcasts on Electronic Explorations, I wanted to do something special with this set. It’s easy for a label manager to record an hour long-advertisement for his roster, or to unleash dubplate after dubplate. After all, my job is to listen, select and work with tracks which haven’t been released yet. My intention here was different: on the one hand, I wanted to showcase what Ad Noiseam is about, but I also wanted to show that my words are not vain when I say that I like very varied genres of music. This is why there’s some Ethiopian jazz next to some doom metal here, and why some hot and fresh new track out of London might be mixed together with an old Diamanda Galas classic. It’s my opinion that if the tracks are good, they can be mixed and presented together easily. Moreover, this is not a club DJ set: I could start very slowly and take much time to bring the hardest material. I hope the listeners of Electronic Explorations will enjoy this set, and that it will stay as a (hopefully successful) experiment in genres mixing. This is what Ad Noiseam is about. And of course, thanks to Rob for the opportunity and his hard work.

At the beginning of 2010 I was asked by various Music blogs to compile my favourite tracks from 2009
I decided to make a mix from these 70+ tracks with the help of 2 friends, Tommy ‘Akira Kiteshi‘ and Matt ‘Mad EP‘
Fast forward a couple months and here we are !!!
Unfortunately due to timing constraints beyond Akira Kiteshi’s control, Tommy was only able to piece together the first 20 minutes of the mix, using 18 of the tracks available to him, however, you’ll agree its a bit special.
Matt ‘Mad EP’ diverts away from the AK approach, staying close to his hip hop roots and the love of the cross-fader…. how the hell did he mix up 70 odd tunes into the space of 46 minutes !!
So ….. I gave these 2 producers the following tunes .. the rest is up to them !! .. oh and yeah, I know I missed out some awesome tunes from 2009, but its bloody hard to remember all the good music from 2009

whats a press release like this one supposed to be about? its supposed to sum up an artists journey, point out their career landmarks. so in the case of this band, youd have to talk about their formation in berlin in 2002. something that wasnt just about forming a band, but also about balancing different cultural backgrounds – the beats being arranged by robot koch in berlin, the vocals coming from formerly london-based sasha perera and the basslines being laid down by oren gerlitz, who lived in tel aviv. youd also have to talk about the early support from john peel, and their album releases pure breed mongrel (2005) and blitz n ass (2007). plus their countless 12 releases on labels such as citizen recordings, crosstown rebels or playhouse. not to forget their buzzing and unpredictable live shows which brought them to four continents in 2008 and covered everything from renowned festivals like transmediale to raves in transylvania. then youd have to talk about the numerous collaborations with folks like modeselektor, asian dub foundation, anti pop consortium, buraka som sistema and many more. and youd definitely have to talk about them being at the forefront of producing eclectic sounds and merging genres like grime, punk rock, hip-hop and various blends of electronica to create a unique definition of pop music. a pioneering role they embraced with the same spirit that brought like-minded projects like diplo or switch productions, figures like m.i.a. or terry lynn or subgenres like baile funk, 2 step or booty bass into the public eye.
all of this had to be featured here, and well, it is now. but! a band that records an album like barefoot wanderer could hardly be interested in a text full of self references. it might even be quite useful to simply forget most things known about jahcoozi. barefoot wanderer most definitely marks a caesura. as the title already suggests, its the implementation of a new-found purism. its not a loud, bright, stage-ready record. recording something like that wouldve been far too easy. of course they continue to be restless, they still filter their distinct dynamic from their different tastes in music and they are still crossing borders. with the support of the goethe institute they went to kenya to record the track msoto millions along with mcs from ukoo flani, a kenyan dancehall/reggae crew in nairobi. staying true to their core musical approach, they gathered friends from all around the globe, but this time took it further than ever. for example, theres a track with percussionist guillermo brown from new york, they feature belgian singer barbara panther on another, and (drum roll!) clay pot percussionist oori shalev from israel, who of course played his part in making this track a quite unconventional affair. in general, they bring home sound souvenirs from every one of their journeys, but they wonít tour the world with hypebeast-approved trainers on their feet – they wander barefoot. not only does barefoot happen to be the most fitting metaphor for this album, it is also a kind of branding for the mentality that jahcoozi and their brothers in spirit, stereotyp & alhaca from vienna, have come up with. a mentality that appeals to everyone who feels comfortable in the most varied worlds of bpm counts and bass variations. itís something like an attempt to find a genre name for the act of refusing genres.
its not that this new album revisits all of the bands typical reference points. rather it examines all their unexplored niches in an incomparably subtle way. chances are the band has never stretched itself so far, and it has ended up forming a unique microcosm with its own rules and language. barefoot wanderer is without a doubt the most self-contained and cohesive work they have done so far. its sex appeal not only speaks through sashas booty-shake, it virtually shines through a mysteriously hazy twilight. unlike anything else, this album refines dubstep, it recalls the early dancehall spirit, it even reawakens the expressive force and agitation of digital hardcore, though without letting the formal execution become too explicit. in fact, its quite the opposite. its a documentation of subtlety. yet in every proclamation – some of which even reach into ambient aesthetics – pulsates the most lucid form of expression and the niftiest approach to pop the band has undertaken so far. and even the most explicit moments such as power down blackout, fuelled by long-time partner in crime m. sayyid of anti pop consortium, are laid down with a nonchalance that will get a crowd going in the blink of an eye.
on the whole, barefoot wanderer is the album nobody expected, but perhaps that is the only possible outcome for a band that holds unpredictability as its one constant principle.
Boomkat product review for:
Impressive album from Berlin’s Jahcoozi outfit, forging a blend of fluoro-ragga, electro and mongrel pop. While not as well known as many of their Berlin counterparts, Jahcoozi are one of those underground acts whose respect from others critically outweighs any commercial success. That may be set to change with ‘Barefoot Wanderer’ their most coherent and slickly developed album to date. From the packaging, glossy black jewel box and monochrome slipcasing, to the techy polished of their tracks, it’s like they’ve just been given a makeover by Massive Attack’s management. ‘Barefoot Dub’ mixes moody dancehall styled vox from Sascha Perrera (sounding so much like Soom-T) to techno-stepping dub scapes and APC’s M. Sayyid adds his cunning vox to a dynamically diffused dancehall riddim on ‘Powerdown Blackout’. Thirsty Ear’s Guillermo Brown adds reverbed vox to the dread-tech blues of ‘Speckles Shine’ and special mention must go to Deadbeat’s mix of ‘Watching You’ which could almost be a remix of Instra:mental/DBridge’s track of the same name, inna darkside Berlin dub style. Fans of Massive Attack, Portishead, Modeselektor or Team Shadetek should get on this.
Pitchfork article
One of the fun things about dance music in 2010 is that genre barriers seem increasingly obsolete– the idea of limiting oneself to a particular style or country is almost laughable at this point. Jahcoozi, a collaboration between German producers Robot Koch and Oren Gerlitz and Sri Lankan vocalist Sasha Perera, take this global approach. In their tracks, dancehall riddims, glitch-hop, and experimental techno rub up against each other like long-lost pals.
Jahcoozi’s first two records, Pure Breed Mongrel and the awesomely titled Blitz ‘n’ Ass, took an aggressive line to t

Mai Harper is a Label Manager and DJ extraordinaire. Obsessed with dub sounds, techno infused beats and electro terror. Mai represents the One4ho records by DJing around Europe, diversifying all electronic beats from IDM, Techno, Dubstep, Grime and Movie Soundtracks. She recently played at Bloc 2010, for a big One4ho label launch. She plays with pure acetate sound, a dying breed amongst the new digital era, this girl wont be letting go of her vinyl in a hurry. Ghettozoid mix - Recorded the mix in Ableton using an Akai APC 40, put the whole thing together in Logic. Ghettozoid is not only a creative force in her own right, she is also the brainchild, the mindbirth, and the biosludge of Bristol, UKs Sophie Ruston. Recently the wind of fate have blown a mighty blow that sent her sails to the sultry shores of Germanys crown jewel, Berlin, where she currently is entrenched in a Euro-dream: Running her One4Ho imprint with label partner Mai Harper and producing tracks and collaborating with engineers such as Wizard and ginger dream boat, Ginz.
But lets look back to 2009. Yes lets glance back at the past before we try in vain to keep up with her vicious and violent thrusts into a future brighter than the brightest platinum. -Gigs? Festivals like Glastonbury, Glade and Shambala and some of the UKs hottest club events like Pinchs Subloaded, and at Berlin’s infamous Bar 25 for Clark’s (Warp) album launch party. -Radio? Radio Plays on the UKs Number 1 Radio Station, Radio 1, courtesy of Radio 1s Number 1 Radio Personality Mary Anne Hobbs as well as a few quirky little shows hither and thither from across them seas. -Moments of transcendent Bliss? Shakin her Purty lil ass on stage with Egyptian lover at Bloc Festival.
Now the dawning of the Ghettozoid future: Early 2010 will see a tour of America as Bubbzs tour DJ, hitting up SXSW, NYC and MWMC & the launch of her One4Ho imprint, with the release of her own Power-Riddim Seeking feat the vocal magic of Yolanda with remixes from Blue Daisy and Teknoist. Farther on into positive chronology we can begin to glimpse the hourglass outline of collaborations and Platinum Hits from an all star cast of Platinum hit-making stars. (Did we mention the word Platinum enough yet?)
Ghettozoid puts the Robo back into Robotronic Boogaloo and puts the Ghetto back into Postindustrial-Ghettowarfare. In her spare time she is attempting to modify an 808 in order to make it sexually compatible with her Zoid and hopes to vocode the result. http://www.myspace.com/ghettozoid Check out their amazing blog: http://one4ho.com/ For Bookings: mai@one4ho
ghettozoid / blue daisy – Seeking (Blue Daisy Mix)
Sci-fi infected dubstep from Berlin’s Ghettozoid featuring Yolanda backed with a Blue Daisy remix. We’d head straight for the Blue Daisy remix, maintaining his consistent good-form with another psych-submerged swirl of clipped garage rhythms, ethereal bass and haunted synths sounding like Burial’s undead triphead cousin. Meanwhile the original puts Yolanda’s belting vocal to good use, sounding not dissimilar to Pinch’s ‘Get Up’ anthem.

The distinct sound of Phaeleh fuses the dark and heavy sounds of Dubstep and Drum and Bass with the melodies and soundscapes of Electronica, all sealed together with the subtle textures of acousmatic music.
A diverse range of influences results in an equally diverse musical output which can range from disturbing bass lines and heavy Dubstep/Jungle beats, perfect for the rave, to the more soulful, restrained tracks incorporating a variety of sound sources and vocal styles.
This wonderful sound has seen Phaelehs tracks supported by the scenes leading artists including Skream, N-Type, Distance, Scuba, Mary Anne Hobbs, Von D, Rob Booth’s Electronic Explorations, Jakes, DJ Madd & Komonazmuk to name a very few, as well as national and international radio support on BBC Radio 1, BBC Asian Network, BBC 6 Music and Kiss FM
In 2008 he started the Dubstep/Breaks/Hip-Hop label, Urban Scrumping Records and continues to gig regularly across the UK…

Dramatic dubstep rave anthem business from Bristolian Phaeleh initiating the Surface Tension imprint with a baptism of ‘Fire’. This is a big chunky bugger built for the ravier end of the dubstep spectrum with DJ’s like TRG or RSD in mind, featuring diva-ish vocals from Ngaio and tension building synths and strings released over a sub-junglist/breakstep riddim.
Melodramatic dubstep and future garage from Phaeleh. ‘Within The Emptiness’ is his latest release for Urban Scrumping, compiling practically an album’s worth of finely crafted steppers variations with ich musical accompaniment from an assortment of harps, accordians, synths and vocals from Shammi Pithia and Anneka. This is a must for fans of SYNKRO, Von D or Hyetal.

Dubstep and D’n'B producer Kontext makes good on the promise of his 12″s for Immerse with an album proper for the Bristolian label. ‘Dissociate’ is a vividly coherent collection, including six brand new tracks of solemn, Russian spirited electronics pressed a track per side for the optimum listening experience. The flurry of excitement over his early tracks is entirely justified for lovers of the darkest and techiest ends of the dubstep electronica spectrum, hatching atmospheric IDM with the electronic dub sphere of Pole and a minimized version of T++ or Martyn’s post-step flex. ‘Dissociate’ is ultimately a great headphone or armchair listen, the detailed production values intended for closer scrutiny, especially on the insectoid scuttle of ‘Clinch’ and the majestically synth-washed ‘Searching For The Transcendental’. But that’s not to negate the finely tuned technoid rhyth(m)otor that keeps his music cruising like a gangsta’s bimmer in the dance. If there was anyone from this end of the dubstep pool we’d expect to turn up an ace album, it’s Kontext and he’s surely proved the point here. Heavyweight darkness.
Dark and tuff breakstepping riddims from XI on the Bristolian Immerse imprint. ‘OOO’ exercises his darker side with loud and heavy percussion driven by blackened bass hits, while ‘Slippin’ ont he flip adds a certain Drexciyan melodic flair to electroid steppers programming. For fans of Marina Faib, Elemental or DZ.
The excellent Immerse imprint continues with its exploration of the deeper recesses of bass music with this inspired hookup between Hot Flush producer Sigha and Australia’s Spherix. “Separation” on the a-side untangles shimmering keys from a heaving mass of bass rumbles and aquatic percussion, bringing to mind elements of Claro Intelecto, Pole and Shackleton for a deep and heavy technofied variant. “Lesser People’ on the flipside is a lot steppier, making use of a similar sound palette under more propulsive percussive elements. Dark and atmospheric wares – recommended!
Gatekeeper is among the most shadowy operators from the Bristol skool of steppers. His ‘Let Go’ 12″ for Punch Drunk is, in our opinion, an overlooked classic of the genre and his Skull Disco collab with Appleblim is a killer bit of work. He’s remixed that track here for Immerse records with a VIP version, adding an armour plating of breakstep modes to the original to run it into a far deadlier beast. On the flip his ‘Hades’ track takes the same toughened Breakstep route with spine knacking breaks and a stoically stilted flow to mix up with the likes of your Toasty or Gunjack tracks. Ace.

Name: Jasper Reeder, 26 – Oakland, California Labels: Frite Nite, Bad Acid
From the man himself:
Before NastyNasty I made alot of different music over the years ranging from punk to breakcore and beyond….eventually i just burnt out on more esoteric endeavors and found myself in a bit of a limbo, i dropped my tempos an started focusing more on synthesis and more “minimal” arrangements. I had always had a deep fascination with pop music and mainstream production and NastyNasty was born out of my attempts to fuse filthy minded southern rap production with my own experimental sensibilities to hopefully create something beautifully obscene…..in short to find flowers in the landfill.

The American West Coast seems to have really taken to U.K. dubstepPortland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles have developed devoted audiences for the stripped-down low-end sound that some initially surmised would be just a British thing. And helping U.S. dubstep make its mark, one bass-heavy burner at a time, is Jon A.D.s LoDubs label.
LoDubs is not your ordinary dance music imprint, nor is Jon A.D. a young upstart. The label is run from inside Anthem Records, a record store (and label of the same name) that Jon owns, and which specializes in limited-edition metal, noise, and drone releases. This may seem contradictory, but Jon sees a strong connection between metal, noise, and dubstep. Dubstep is so much about drum structures. And when you increase the air and rhythm in tracks, that allows drone and other frequencies to come out. Scorns stuff is very metal, and Burial and Boxcutter have some of those elements as well.
The history of Jon AD reads a bit like a peoples history of innovative electronic music in the the United States. Born in Eugene, Oregon, and from a young age attracted to all aspects of sound, it was in his teens that he first discovered Electronic music, and realized that it had as visceral of elements as Punk Rock when combined with heavy amplification.
This thread ultimately lead to, and followed the beginnings of the Hardcore Techno sound of artists like Mescalinum United and GTO, and the advent of UK breakbeat hardcore like Spiral Tribe, Suburban Base/Moving Shadow/etc. As there where no record stores that even began to come close to following such musical movements, he founded the first DJ service in the region for such sounds, delivered via bicycle, much like Horsemouth in Rockers (a parallel not drawn until he saw the film many years later).
As it appeared much of the west coast was years away from an appreciation of such styles, by the time 1995 rolled along, Jon AD found himself seeing the Midwest, with its all-encompassing party scene, and its indigenous culture which was the beginnings of the Midwest hardcore sound, as a voice calling. So when a promoter heard him DJ in Oregon, and on the spot offered him a plane ticket and some money to come play a party in a rural barn near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he departed, and thus embarked on a three year “trip” which besides an endless amount of parties played also involved a long running residency at the primary club in the city, Matisse, and a featured writing position on the magazine known as Massive (massivemag.com), which is still seen as the Rosetta stone of the period, and the primary source of recorded history for such organizations as Drop Bass/Communique/Addict Records/etc.
Shortly after arriving in the Midwest, the city of Chicago, and its indigenous music, became a primary driving force for Jon AD, and once relocating to San Francisco in 1998, and starting work at a music distributor, Jon AD founded the label losonofono, in an effort to illuminate many of these artists. In the height of the San Francisco house boom, this was in effect walking a separate path, which was compounded by the fact that many of the releases contained electro/techno/ghetto house tracks, which where all forms of music seen as not very cosmopolitan at the time. Throughout this period, Jon AD still had one foot firmly planted in Drum and Bass, playing many of the events in the region, and compiling the distro lists for the aforementioned distributor.
Coming full circle at the turn of the millennium, and returning to Oregon, Jon AD found himself in a similar situation as when he left, in that there was no way for him to procure the records he needed. Thus, Anthem Records, and brick and mortal record store/label was formed, and gradually the focus shifted in part to the Garage music sub strains emanating from around the world. From there, a chance meeting with a little known producer from Philly known as Starkey at a laptop battle set the stage from what came next, and thus hearing the track known as “Dementia” that night cemented what would become the first record on the Losonofono sub-label LoDubs.
Since that night in December 2006, LoDubs has emerged as among the strongest in a short list of labels representing bass driven music in the US, and arguably the only one largely representing artists from North and South America, with over 20 releases from artists as far north and Toronto and as far south as Venezuela, in addition to those from the UK, Germany, Japan, etc.
The future will see Jon AD and LoDubs continuing to blur the lines between what is one genre or the other, be it through the releases, The multi genre monthly founded by Jon AD, Monkeytek, and Ryan Organ in 2006 known as Various, and/or through his DJ sets.
Various releases etc etc
Fans of Burial, take note. Lo Dubs come correct this week with a hugely enticing and anticipated album from Clubroot. Clubroot has apparently been producing for the best part of the decade, initially constructing tech step D’n'B indebted to the likes of Nico, Ed Rush and Optical but shifting his palette to the dominant dubstep style in recent years. To sum up Clubroots sound as succinctly as possible, it’s like the perfect hybrid of Burial and Kryptic Minds, taking the mood driven atmospheres and quicksilver slink of Burial and alloying it to dynamic basslines and intricately produced rhythm structures. This combination is explored through ten tracks united by a singular rhythmic vision in thrall to classic darkside dance music and operating under the cover of severely occluded atmospheres. With Mary-Anne Hobbs fully on his case and forums across the interweb quickly catching onto his sound it’s not going to be long before he’s soundtracking every channel four ident so make sure to get in early! Essential recommendation for fans of Burial!!!

Hexstatic – Biography
Hexstatic are Stuart Warren-Hill and Robin Brunson, and together they have been consistently breaking new ground in Audio and Visual entertainment.
From their early work producing videos for Coldcut and co-producing the seminal AV piece Timber, they then went on to sign to Ninjatune records and release the UK’s first fully audio visual album ‘Rewind’ in 2000.
Then followed the critically acclaimed ‘Listen and Learn’ mix for Ninja’s Solid Steel series in 2003 and CD/DVD release ‘Master View’ in 2004, another first with the accompanying DVD containing many 3D videos!
In 2006 they produced the Pick N Mix CD for Sanctuary records and in June 2007 released their 3rd studio album ‘When Robots Go Bad. That and a cheeky host of bootlegs over the years under the Exactshit moniker.
Since their first tentative shows at early Big Chill events Hexstatic have become one of the worlds premier Audio Visual acts presenting spectacular shows around the globe containing their irreverant take on dance music with big injections of humour and good party times. They closed last years Big Chill with a celebration of the festivals 15 years, a spectactualr performance that encompassed live Batucada and Capoeira and a special collaboration with beat box maestro Shlomo.
From dirty AV all-nighters at London’s 333 to the massive Electraglide shows in Tokyo. From Working Mens club launch parties in 3D to playing on a wall of water from the middle of the Thames, from illegal Guerilla gigs on the streets of London, Hexstatic have done it all.
2010 sees several projects from Hexstatic, Stuart leading a foray into the world of 3D performance with his Holotronica project and Robin producing a new AV show and release entitled Trailer Trax,.. a bass heavy dance floor journey into the world of cut up Drive-In style movie trailers and intermissions.

The new label is essentially set up to release new Hexstatic projects we have coming this year and it means we have more control and more room to experiment. Ninja are publishing and promoting it aswell. Im also on the lookout for new talent and hopefully these first releases will help it grow into something that can support other work.
The album is kind of going back to what Ive done best in the past really, back to basics beats and bass fuelled by video samples, much in the same way people have done with music. There is quite a lot of dubstep influence on there as its something Id been listening to for a while but never made the real jump to produce or DJ until now, but I think the genre has become really inspiring of late and producers like Akira Kiteshi, Reso and George Lenton really pricked up my ears, along with that sort of L.A. Sound thats going on at the moment,..it sounds really fresh and new,..much like the first time I heard Planet Rock. We had experimented with that kind of sound in the past with Distorted Minds from Master View back in 2004 but never really took it further.
The album also has lots of other influences,..drum and bass, techno, early electro,..all the stuff thats influenced me over the years and the music Ive always DJd in my sets.

Gemmy – Purple Pictures Mix
“100th show, wanted to get Gemmy on the show for freaking ages !! “Dolla Digital” – fav track of 09 …. 30 minute all Gemmy production, its so fucking good”
They dont call Bristol the second city of dubstep for nothing. Its wealth of talented producers are currently pushing the boundaries of a genre that is rapidly developing in all sorts of directions, with Gemmel Gemmy Phillips leading the front line of its latest wave. Alongside his purple compadres Joker and Guido, the three are pushing a majestically colourful take on the sub-heavy sound of today, sculpting their own unique sound that marks them out from pretty much anyone in the scene.
Gemmys musical journey started with his love of hip-hop, before being taken aback by the inventiveness and pure dancefloor power of grime, UK garage and drumnbass. After picking up turntables and getting to grips with the kaleidoscope of sound being thrust onto his ears, Gemmy took the next natural step and started to create his own beats, refusing to be tied to any genre. Determined to carve out his own sonic niche, Gemmy began to mesh together the two great loves of his childhoodthe swaggering G-funk beats of Dr. Dre, and the clean and colourful melodies of 16-bit console classics like Sonic The Hedgehogwith some additional low-end histrionics for maximum dance floor impact.
The burgeoning dubstep scene in his home city certainly had its influence, and keen to get his sound out to a wider audience, he began to give his tracks out to respected artists and DJs in the local community. The strength of his material certainly stood out, with dubplates of his tracks flying out of the local cutting emporium by eager DJs looking to destroy Bristols dance floors with his undeniably infectious and rabble rousing compositions. With its screeching lead synth and undulating bass riff, “Bk 2 The Future” emerged as both a crowd and selectors’ favourite, showing a producer who possessed the uncommon trait of knowing how to wobble with measure and restraint. After hearing the sub-low churn of his “Bass Transmitter” track, Punch Drunk boss Peverelist felt determined to sign both tracks to his label, with the 12-inch making a real splash on the international scene.
The success of the Punch Drunk release meant that Gemmy was quickly snatched up by Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas to join the new wave of dubstep-related artists that have become the vanguard of the label, with the Supligen and Johnny 5 releases continuing Gemmys rich run of form.
Radio 1s dubstep doyenne Mary Anne Hobbs has also taken the producer under her wing, signing up the delightfully wonky Rainbow Road to her Wild Angels compilation, further bolstering his already highly regarded position in the international bass music community.
Gemmy is currently working on his debut album for Planet Mu.

“What started out as a mix soon turned into a whole bunch of home-made mashes, set out in a series of chapters and separated by incidental random instrument stabs, plucks and coughs. There are only a few tunes on there that remain unadulterated.
So for the most part, unlikely combinations, accapellas and classical loops, not consecutive songs” Mr Zygadlo
FACEBOOK
Rudi Zygadlo is a musician like no other, taking the fundamentals of Dubstep in a direction that is as unexpected as it is unique, hes created an amalgamation of pop song writing with Dubstep, rewired using influences as wide as Frank Zappa, Eastern European Classical music and contemporary US Indie, hes tipped for great things in 2010.
He describes his music essentially as a fusion, a form of music hes had in his head which has brought together his influences into a new format. The music hes due to release in 2010 sounds effortless and completely natural. ‘Resealable Friendship’ is his debut single followed by his album Great Western Laymen which comes out in May.
The single is about a Special Friendship hes developed, the rest is open to interpretation, but the song reconditions pop music for Rudis purposes and musical vision.
Two of Planet Mus brightest stars have reinterpreted the song with their remixes, here, Starkey takes the song on a lonely journey into space and Slugabed puts in a mix where the voice drifts in and out of a stop start, rippling bass line and punchy drums.
The EP finishes off with the strange ‘The Udu and the Clave’, an instrumental that combines Zappa-like chromatics with juddering synths and wobbles.

This mix is made up of tracks all written in the last year and shows the more frenetic side of my music. Im from a Techno and Electro background (Real Electro NOT Electro House Bo!!ocks!) but dubstep has totally opened up another level of syncopation for me so Im really enjoying the ryhthmic freedom i have, (Im also a Drummer) and of course the cavernous low end as always.
Hope you like it. AL TOURETTES

Deep tripping techy styles from Apple Pips with their second drop of the week. Al Tourettes hails from Bristol and follows in that rich heritage of electronically enhanced bass music, folowing the tech-stepping lineage from the Full Cycle crew or Tech Itch through to Peverelist and RSD with two intricately programmed and darkly tinted killers. ‘Dodgems’ on the A-side is more compatible for the dubstep crew with skittering 140bpm syncopations also belying an electro influence from the likes of Two Lone Swordsmen and Ae, while the flipside cuts into a tricky techno groove reminding of Kontext with a more driving intent. If you’ve checked any of Appleblim’s DJ sets recently you’ll have no doubt heard both these cuts rinsed out.

“Its my debut dubstep/funky/etc. mix. I wanted to sum up year 2009 and picked up tunes which were my favorites in this kind of genre. Also there are some tunes from my upcoming album on Immerse Records called Dissociate LP.” Kontext
Kontext’s double drop of twelves on Immerse last year sent ripples of excitement through lovers of the techy end of dubstep, picking up massive fans in the form of T++, Peverelist and Appleblim to champion his ultra hi-tech and futurist sound. From his base in St Petersburg, Stanislav Sevostyanikhin has welded another stark and austere dubstepXtechno statement of intent on ‘Curved Convex Mirror’, using a similar palette of elasticated electronics and drawing rhythmic inspiration from 2562/AMS in the well sculpted subbass and fluctuating garage-rhythmic syncopations, but also a streamlined and rolling edge taken from the more European techno style of icy Russian electronics. One aspect was clearly apparent from those first two 12″s, that Kontext is a master of creating tense and dramatic sonic vistas, with ‘Hometown Swamp’ he sets a darkened scene with atmospheres reminiscent of the finest Chain Reaction tracks from Fluxion or Vainqueur before bringing them up to date with a powerful garage infected pressure sounding like TRG jamming with Pole. If you picked up either of first two 12″s you’ve probably been waiting for this one, but if you’ve never heard of this guy, get to know! KILLER!!!
Absolute killer 12″ alert! One of our favourite Bristol bassed labels Immerse have dug up a couple of complete shockers from a name soon to be very familiar to many dubstep and Techno heads, Kontext. This is the first material we’ve heard from this fella and it’s quite easily some of the finest gear we’ve clapped lugs on this year, fusing the much loved tech styles of T++ with some proper Bristol bass science for two tracks that have totally ripped the head off it. ‘Falling to weightlessness’ introduces himself with a devastatingly minimal riddim constructed from pure bass pressure punctuated with skittering off-kilter percussion akin to Torsten Profrock’s finest moments, while the spectral synthline and deep electronica vibes could be cut from an Autechre side project (well, in our dreams maybe?). ‘Aeromonarchs attacks’ on the flip cuts into a much deeper rhythm, flexing some scarily toned bass muscle with a honed dancefloor intent that will politely ask any shit dancers to kindly step off the floor please. This is without a doubt the best thing to have emerged from Immerse and quite possibly one of the finest 12″s you’ll hear all year. Listen!
If you’ve managed to pick yourself off the floor after ingesting the first 12″ from Kontext, sit yourself down for a second and check the styles on this badboy. Not content with mastering the art of 140bpm dubstepXtech on the first 12″, Kontext turns his hand to two brutally bass laden techno cuts for the second installment. ‘Plumes’ sits heavy on the A-side with a purest subbass driven tech-house cut speckled with lush synthwork, but it’s the flipside track ‘Blinkende Stjerne’ that really takes the piss, charging up another divebombing subbass mission with dry funked and brittle techno percussion before introducing awesome Monolake style atmospherics of the highest calibre. It’s safe to say this an absolute essential, and fans of everyone from Peverelist to Villalobos need to give this some very close attention. Recommended!!!

Born in Venezuela, now living in Barcelona, Luis Garbán is one of a swarm of talents rising up in zero-degree gravity spots around the world: blurring the lines between many genres in electronica as easily as he crosses geographical borders. Having released two full length albums on Murder Channel and Peace Off , and with a slew of EPs under his belt on Shockout, True Tiger, Ad Noiseam, Lo Dubs, Spectraliquid, and Hyperdub, its little wonder Fact Magazine named him as one of their producers to watch in 09.

CARDOPUSHER – “Mutant Dubstep vol.2″ September 2008 – Spectraliquid SLQ004
Luis Garban aka Cardopusher has been releasing a serious number of records these past couple years for labels such as Ad Noiseam, Peace-off, Intellectual Violence, Mirex, Cock Rock Disco & Wrong Music, Terminal Dusk and more. Now, Cardopusher returns with a blasting new EP on Spectraliquid Records, the sequel to “Mutant Dubstep vol.1″ by UK’s Ebola. What you should expect from “Mutant Dubstep vol.2″ is 3 brand new sonic tracks, evolving around dubstep, hard electronics and breakcore explosions produced by the mastermind himself. 100% adrenaline, killer sound production and 2 ultra-heavy remixes by Pacheko and Innasekt, this album is coming out to add another significant moment to the ever expanding dubstep-influenced movement. Low bass frequencies give their place to powerful melodic parts, while at the same moment sinking to sick, rhythmic basslines and solid drum parts. There definitely isn’t so much stuff sounding that good out there so don’t hesitate to get this excellent release. Add a beautiful digipack packaging designed by wonderful graphic designer Mario Ferer and you’ve got the perfect combination at hand. Recommended.
This is the second release out of 3 in total of the “MUTANT DUBSTEP” series. Tracklist:
1. Toothsmasher 2. Collapsible Shelter 3. Cockpit 4. Toothsmasher (Innasekt rmx) 5. Collapsible Shelter (Pacheko rmx)
Over the last couple of years Cardopusher has steadily developed his ultra intense edit style from Breakcore rhythms into a well diced form of dubstep with releases on Damage, Terminal Dusk and Redvolume and receiving a Quarta 330 remix on Hyperdub. His first release proper for Lo Dubs slots into the label’s aesthetic perfectly with turbo fuelled dubstep rave riddims similar to stable mates DZ or 6Blocc but light years ahead in the edit stakes, just check title tune ‘Milk Thistle’ to see what can be done with the gnarly mid range synth style as he freaks the flow into constantly mutating patterns whilst still keeping it strictly skanky for the dubstep faithful. ‘Double Dragon’ on the flip shows the connection ith Quarta 330 as he spanks the theme from the computer game of the same name with an ornate 8-bit dubstep refix that fans of Rustie or Goth Trad will be clamming for. Heavy goods from the west coast’s finest.

Oppidan – In my top 5 albums of 2009 – Rob Booth
Access To Arasaka I’ve included a clip from a remix for ESA (coming soon from Tympanik), as well as 3 unreleased Access To Arasaka songs.
The clip of ‘Seraphic/8x’ is an old song, from 3 or 4 years ago. I don’t know that it will ever see a proper release, as my inspiration for that particular concept album has since subsided.
Term/Echo is actually from the upcoming album void(); and has been heard only by Paul from ‘Tympanik,’ so that’s pretty much a world premiere.
Photons is from the even more upcoming album Paragon.
I hope you enjoy, AtA
Hidden talent Access To Arasaka emerges from the woodwork to sign on for a co-release with Tympanik Audio and Spectraliquid labels. The album Oppidan will represent a new chapter in the Tympanik Audio saga by combining densely-layered atmospheres with complex, intelligent beatwork and further defies Tympaniks mission to introduce our listeners to the next generation of electronic sound construction.
In the works: Check out Access To Arasakas excellent work with several free EP downloads via his website and get a further preview of his talents via remixes for Totakekes 2CD release titled The Things That Disappear When I Close My Eyes AND Aphorisms debut album Surge, both available now, as well as Zentriert ins Antlitzs new album No and a fantastic new songs on Emerging Organisms 2 and Miwek Twelve (Hymen) compilations, both out now.

Listen!

“I wanted to do something a bit different to the other mixes I’ve done recently. This one tries to join the dots between some of the housey UK tunes that have come out of dubstep and funky with US house that sounds like dubstep. (well it does to me anyway) There’s some recent collabs from me and Roska in there too” UNTOLD
Not content with p*ssing all over the competition with a slew of scene defining records, Untold presents the primal-futurist swing of ‘Flexible’ on a 1-sided pressing for Brainmath. There’s no second guessing his productions at the moment, apart from the fact that they are guaranteed to mess up your dancefloor in brilliant style. ‘Flexible’ meshes the hype tension of the Wiley’s menacingly minimal Devil mixes with the sort of melodious thunk that Shackleton has locked down to programme a slyly experimental riddim made for DJs to screw into equally minimal gear or even find the right a capella to suit its itchy nature. Fans of Anstam, Joe, Ramadanman, and Roska gotta be quick with this one! Killer 12″.
**Blue Vinyl** Tense and tracky jams from Dubstep-dude-of-the-minute, Untold. Hessle Audio push the boat out with their latest release, pressing up two of their most experimental and tool-like cuts onto translucent blue vinyl to get the wax fiends hot. ‘I Can’t Stop This Feeling’ is Untold’s second drop for the label, improving on his previous 12″ with a sharper palette of sounds and a dedicated dancefloor vibe stripping back to pure bass, tension raising strings and clattering drum machine samples. Ther’s barely any trace of melody to this track, allowing for streamlined mixing potential with compatibly techy steppers riddims. ‘Anaconda’ on the flip is just as sparse, maintaining an economical sound using only thick subbass bumps, finely processed percussion and cartoonish bleeps to create a oddly abstract and inversely funky riddim. Sick twelve – especially the a-side…….
Look out for “F – Energy Distortion [UNTOLD Remix]” in early 2010 … early doors contender for remix of 2010

After gaining fan and dj support, VVV decided to focus his musical attention on writing.. look for forthcoming 12″ records in 1st-2nd qtrs 2010.

For this mix i have pulled together a bundle of tracks- old, new, unreleased, and my own.the mix is more catered toward the experimental side of things rather than dancefloor, although there are a few tracks in here that break that mould.
I’ve put in a few influences and sections of tracks that i love – as well as some on the fly remix things and some synth playing. There’s a few unreleased numbers in here too that ive picked up from mates. ——

Mindset Recordings are yet to put a foot wrong and this latest 12″ from XxXy should position them as one of the UK’s finest dubtech imprints. XxXy may be better known to the dubstep community as Forensix Mcr but in his new guise he’s keenly focussed his energies on a pristine dubtech sound aiming for that school populated by F, Peverelist or Ghostleigh. A-side cut ‘Reflections’ is our favourite, keeping it simple with quick stepping rhythms driving the dance and given space with ever-expanding dub chords. Quick tip for the slow-house crew, play this on 33 and you’ve got a mean Workshop style slow groove! Flip over for two cuts heavily influenced by Dave Huismans, firstly ‘Constant’ snapping with 2562 styel percussion and and powerful subs, or the A Made Up Sound alike ‘Silken’ slipping in that niche between broken beats and dub-tech/house. Recommended!
Mindset Recording’s XXXY steps on the dubtech buttons with two lean and minimal riddims on Formant. ‘Science Fiction’ wears its Peverelist influences proudly with slick locking grooves and spacious techno-dub synthlines while ‘651′ adds some substance with dreamy chord sequences and submerged bongos.

Synth driven dubstep wonk from Hyetal racking up the latest Soul Motive drop.
This Bristolian producer has been sprinkling his bright and shiny synthlines around
the scene recently, including a track on the Mary Anne Hobbs comp and an ace Shortstuff
hookup which got picked up by 2562 and Jackmaster respectively for recent mixes.
‘Neon Speech’ is an effervescent example of electronica mixing with post-dubstep rhythms
craftily nudged for a squashed effect, while ‘Gold Or Soul’ on the flipside shifts with an
upswinging nu-garage feel etched with 8-bit melodies to entice fans of Guido or Martin Kemp.
Blue and moody dubstep tech from Bristol’s Hyetal.
The new signing to Formant delivers two tracks of deeper twisting dubstep schooled
in the styles of Headhunter, Peverelist, Scuba or Forsaken with heady tropical atmospheres
on ‘Armour’ made heavier with bulging subbass an metallic dub chords and smoky
vibes on ‘The Last Time We Spoke’. Smart.

A full length compendium of this act’s misdeeds till today, “Terminal Static” is the eagerly awaited arrival of Broken Note to CD players everywhere. Turntables needed a break.
Containing as much music as one can pack on a CD, “Terminal Static” presents the material released on vinyl on Ad Noiseam, Ruff and Damage, showcasing almost two years of extreme sonic mayhem, as well as one brand new track (“Mask Of Gas”) and three remixes. Unleashed upon the world by two young London based producers, Broken Note’s tracks have taken listeners by storm since early 2008. Playing countless shows and festivals, getting insolently exposed for such a young act and receiving praises from everywhere, Broken Note are obviously the hottest thing around. As well as the hardest, the deadliest and the heaviest.
Mixing dubstep, drum’n'bass, breakcore and industrial-grade distortion, these two musicians create dancefloor-ready, fresh and intense tracks which have proved their efficiency in legion of clubs or shows. From the deepest hooks of such tracks as “Zealot” or “War In the Making” to the accurately named “Fury” and equally broken “Let ‘Em Hang”, Broken Note’s array of talent is their force, bringing together fans of shattered beats and those of heavy basses.
And finally, yes, there was more material and remixes: Broken Note and Ad Noiseam chose to present with “Terminal Static” an exhaustive compilation of this band’s past. But rest assured that more is coming.

Autumn 2009 sees Brixtons foremost melodic electronic artist Point B releasing a full length artist album on Combat.
Fans of his electronic peers such as Kelpe, Boards of Canada, Burial, Autechre and Tipper will find this potent brew infused with reflection and bittersweet calm. Maintaining his characteristic playful sense of melody and effortlessly flitting between genres, Suicide Beauty Spot is a brooding, contemplative and dark work of beauty and is Point Bs first full-length album on Combat Recordings.
Themed around a calm, beautiful, natural contemplative place where people go to deliberately end their lives, the vibe is profoundly deep, and wanders across dubstep, 2 step garage, bleepy electronics and hip hop tempos. The sound of circuitry soaked in warm human emotion, at times it veers almost into Boards of Canada / Burial territory, but always stays within the crisp, bleepy realms of his own sound.
Whilst embracing the urban rhythms (dubstep, hip-hop, 2 step) so familiar on his 12 vinyl releases, this long player embraces some lovely live instrumentation in which the likes of his santoor, Irish harp, dulcimer and marimba animate the bass-heavy soundscapes.

ARTIST NAME: Dracula Man TRACK/TRACKS IN MIX: Nose Dive SHORT BIO: Currently working out of Berlin, Dracula Man is a Music Producer, Performer & Sound Designer. Musically, he is best known for producing and performing Dubstep. His style incorporates influences from a range of genres, with traces of Techno, Rave, Dub and IDM being most prominent. His tracks are built from unusual sounds, incorporating hard hitting drums and winding digital basslines, with a focus on melody and interesting structures. This experience has allowed him to test out material in club situations which is evident in the big sound of his tracks. His first release came in the form of a 5 track EP on Open Records at the end of 2008 entitled “Subjektive”. His second release, the “Chop Happy” EP, was released on Eight:FX at the end of March 2009. Watch out further releases in 2009 soon to be announced.

Radikal Guru
track name: Conspiracy
BIO:
Mateusz Miller aka Radikal Guru is a producer and dj born in northern Poland. Based in Cork IE Guru has been setting up dancefloors around Europe with some of the heaviest dubstep beats coming out of the country. Heavily influenced by dub originators such as King Tubby, Scientist or Lee Scratch Perry, Radikal Guru produces sounds of roots reggae combined with dubstep.
Started in 2004 from making trip-hop, electronica and jungle beats he developed his sound by experimenting with ethnic sounds of Middle east and India. In 2005 Radikal collected enough material to put it on a demo album called “The East-West connection” which started spreading around internet community.
After moving out from Poland to Ireland his sound progressed even further. He discovered the world of dub music and it’s wide range of sub genres, including dubstep. In October 2008 he signed a record deal with Z-Audio and released some of his music with Dubbed out records.
He’s first promo release was a dubstep remix of a legendary Max Romeo’s “Chase the Devil” which recieved a great response from listeners

—- Fantastic Mr Fox started producing 7 years ago at the age of 14, with his music first being picked up in 2006 by Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq.
Regular support of his early leftfield hip-hop productions from Mr Lamacq helped lead to remix work for Maps, Shitdisco, Just Jack, Soweto Kinch, Polar Bear, Fulborn Teversham, Kid Harpoon, Julia Biel, Riz MC, The Carps, Make Model, The Cansecos, Marissa Nadler, Son Lux and most recently Untold & LV.
Following his remix of Untolds Yukon Fantastic Mr Fox decided to up the tempo of his productions and his first two efforts, produced along side Manchester DJ, promoter and producer Rich Reason, were signed to Untolds Hemlock label.
A second collaborative release with Rich Reason was put out on Black Acre, whilst FMFs remix of LV-Dont Judge will soon be available on 2nd Drop Records.
Fantastic Mr Foxs first solo release is also now finished, with the Sketches EP due to be released on Black Acre towards the end of 2009. —-

—- FANTASTIC MR FOX – Plimsoul HEMLOCK MP3 Release // £1.95 DUBSTEP / GRIME / FUNKY Released: Mar 2009 Catalogue Number: HEK003 FANTASTIC MR FOX – Plimsoul, HEMLOCK
Hemlock Recordings pull up some debut release business from Manchester’s Rich Reason in collaboration with Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’s hard to tell who’s doing what here, but the IDM traits of Mr. Fox’s previous releases are easy to pick out, while it’s also clearly apparent what’s on their recent playlists with strong elements of Zomby, TRG and Boxcutter fused into the sum of its parts. The trancing synthline on ‘Bleep Show’ will pick up fans of Ninja Tune’s electrostep and breaks types like Shuttle or those who crave for a fusion of proggy electronica with steppers pattern taken from the latest style. Promising stuff from the pair and worth a check if you like Sukh Knight, Sinden or Rob Sparx. —-
